Shanghai Pork BBQ

A sauce made with hoisin, pomegranate, soy, chili paste and five spice powder gives these juicy pork chops an oriental flare.
Ingredients
- 6 boneless pork chops, cut 3/4 inch thick, 6 to 8 ounces each
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup pomegranate juice
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons chili paste
- 1 teaspoon five spice powder
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions

Method
Prepare grill for medium hot direct heat cooking. In a small bowl stir together hoisin sauce, pomegranate juice, soy sauce, garlic, chili paste and five spice powder. Grill pork chops 5 to 7 minutes per side, turning once. Brush chops generously with sauce and grill an additional 2 minutes per side. Remove to plates and sprinkle with onions.
Notes: Also great with chicken instead of pork.
