Red and Black Asian Pork

Thinly sliced pork loin is marinated in Asian seasonings, grilled and served with sliced green onions.
 

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup medium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup sake
  • 3 tbsp kochee jang (Korean hot pepper paste)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp black sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp ground red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp green onions, minced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 lb pork loin
  • 6 green onions
 
Method

Lightly toast sesame seeds in a frying pan. Remove and lightly crush with a knife. Mince garlic and ginger and 1 tbsp of green onion. Thinly slice remaining green onions on a bias and set aside. Combine first 10 ingredients in a large bowl. Slice pork very thin against grain and add to marinade. Let marinate for 2-3 hours. Preheat grill to about medium high. Grill pork until nicely charred on each side. About 3-5 minutes a side. Remove from grill and garnish with remaining sliced green onions.
