Method
Preheat grill or to medium-high. Place bacon on paper towels, on a microwavable plate, and cook until crisp. Set a wire cooling rack on a baking sheet and transfer bacon to rack. Very lightly brush maple syrup on both sides of bacon and set back on rack until needed. Shape ground beef into 4 round firm patties and season each burger on both sides with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Grill burgers 10-15 minutes or desired doneness, turning once. Place cream cheese and sour cream in a small mixing bowl, stir until well blended, then add remaining ingredients and stir to incorporate. When burgers are almost done, set buns flat side down, on grill until golden brown. Remove burgers from grill, cover with foil and let rest 5 minutes. Cut bacon pieces in half and assemble burgers as follows: salad greens, burger patties, cheese mixture, and 2 pieces of bacon. Close sandwich with bun top and serve.
Notes: This burger is like no other you have ever had. It's so great tasting.
