HONEY CAJUN SHRIMP
Shrimp are flavored with butter & Cajun seasoning, wrapped with bacon, then skewered & brushed with honey. After grilling, they're dipped in nuts.
Ingredients
- 20 slices of bacon
- 20 medium-sized shrimp (shelled)
- 1/2 C. melted butter
- Cajun seasoning
- 4 skewers
- 1/2 C. honey
- 1/4 C. crushed nuts (any variety)
- 1/2 C. BBQ sauce (or Mustard Sauce)

Method
Precook bacon until almost done, set aside. Dip shrimp in butter and then sprinkle some Cajun seasoning on both sides. Wrap shrimp with bacon and secure with a toothpick. Put 5 shrimp on each skewer. Brush shrimp lightly with honey. Grill until shrimp is pink and bacon is crispy, turning to avoid burning. Remove toothpicks. Dip in crushed nuts. (I like sunflower kernels.) Serve with BBQ sauce or mustard sauce.
Notes: May be assembled ahead and put in fridge to grill a short time later.
