Amber Garlic Mustard with Dill

A rich, full flavored condiment made of mustard and dark beer which would be great on bratwursts, burgers, or hotdogs.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 Tbsp. mustard seeds
- 1 cup dark beer
- 1 Tsp. mustard powder
- 1-1/2 tsp. fresh dill weed, minced
- 1 cup prepared horseradish mustard

Method
In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat; add garlic and mustard seed, and saute for about 3 minutes. Add beer, mustard powder and dill to mixture; simmer over medium heat until liquid is reduced by half. Blend prepared mustard with mixture. Cool. Place in airtight container and refrigerate. Keeps for up to one week.
Notes: Place two tablespoons of relish on a hoagie roll; add grilled Johnsonville bratwurst and top with sharp cheddar cheese and sauteed bell peppers. For a vegetarian alternative, place relish on a roll and top with brie cheese and fresh sliced cucumbers.
